I almost didn't post this... only because it is my favorite secret un-crowded place for breakfast!! They have a beautiful outside patio with mountain views and the inside is clean and trendy with a fireplace. Love the atmosphere. Love their location (just west of 1-25 between Belleview and Orchard in the Landmark Shops). Love the staff. Love the overall experience. They servers are very friendly and actually the whole staff I've found very inviting. The food... well... I probably would only give them 3 stars for this... only because it can be hit (5 stars) and miss (2-3 stars) even when I stress how I like things cooked. But, it is good. And sometimes the food can be AMAZING. Bottom line, the fact that I never have to wait, the location and atmosphere is pretty and the staff is super nice... I look the other way sometimes on the food. Ohhh, and "Lucy" is the name of the dog... and if youre lucky she might be there!!! Fun.

We went here for brunch on a Saturday morning around 10am. Overall, service was slow and a little clueless (waited quite a while for service even though there were only two other tables, and server forgot to apply the Yelp check in discount even though I mentioned it as I handed my card with the bill for payment), the ambiance was above average (inside is trendy, patio area offers plenty of shade) and the food was a hit and a miss. I ordered the Cap'n Lucy French Toast, and it was a hit! It was not too buttery, it had a crisp and soft on the inside (not soggy) with a hint of cinnamon, and the fresh berries with the homemade creme was spot on. My husband ordered the Chili Cheese Cakes (eggs served over cheddar bacon potato cakes, smothered with green chili) - it was just "ok" and you could tell that the scrambled eggs were not seasoned. Bacon we ordered on the side was not good. Chewy and oily. I would have given a 4 if either the service was better, or the rest of our food besides the french toast was better. Seems like a hit and miss, average restaurant. Interesting to go to, great location, but the food and service could use some polish.

I've eaten at Lucy 5 or 6 times now and it's about time I leave a review. I've been absolutely thrilled with everything I've ever eaten at Lucy. From the Lucy Burger to the salmon to the tuna to the steaks. On my most recent visit I tried the scallops. They were cooked perfectly; accompanied by asparagus and the most decadent cheesy risotto I've ever tasted. Lucy's deserts are delicious. The chocolate cake layered with chocolate mousse is great. It's a gigantic piece. I recommend sharing it. The brownie sundae is my favorite. Again, it's big enough to share. I am dying to get there to try their breakfast menu. Everything they offer sounds incredible. Lucy won't dissapoint.

We came here prior to a comedy show and as a result of our reservation we received first tier seating for the show (Ralphie Mae) with prior purchase of ticket. The atmosphere was pretty cool, fun and laid back but not too causal that you couldn't be dressed up. The food however was disappointing the food that we ordered was just OK, I ordered seared rare and got medium rare eh whatever I just ate it. The menu was higher end dinner fare. The prices were fair and the wine list was pretty non exciting. All in all its OK and the perks of getting front tier seating at the comedy works was cool so was the upstairs dining atmosphere.

I would not recommend this restaurant for their food to my worst enemy. I felt so defeated and ripped off after the meal that I wanted to cry a little. My boyfriend and I decided to try this 'restaurant' out due to the preferred seating at Comedy Works. This is the only reason you should ever even consider the place as an option. The meal went as follows: Shrimp Cocktail-now take into consideration I wouldn't typically order something like this but the rest of the menu was just so dated that I figured I might as well. The shrimp was overcooked beyond belief and the 'slaw' was browning cabbage on a plate. I feel like if gas stations offered this dish, they would do it better. Scallops and Grits-as I thought it couldn't get any worse than the app, this one takes the cake. The grits were cold and the consistency of oatmeal and flavorless. It was slopped on the plate in the fashion of cafeteria style plops. The scallops scattered haphazardly throughout the plate were the size of a small marble an about the consistency as well. When you put scallops on a menu, you'd expect sea scallops; especially for the price of $22 for an entree. The creole sauce was like paprika spiced mayo and the asparagus was incredibly ragged. Cheeseburger-this was ok. I mean nothing to write home about but probably the most edible thing we got. It was a pretty standard diner type burger. Overall, if you're here to see a comic and want preferred seating, I'd go with getting a burger, but otherwise I would rather give away $75 to a homeless man on the street. I honestly should have talked to somebody while at the restaurant but I was in such complete shock that I feel like I was abused and spit out to see an incredibly funny Norm MacDonald afterwards, which eased the pain a little. Oh not to mention that we had to sit in a room that reminded me of a Holiday Inn banquet room. Service was ok, not too much to mention there.

I love this place! Hands down the best breakfast place around, I've been coming here for since it's opening. The French toast is so unbelievable mouth watering, it's orgaamic. The green chili has such an impeccable flavor, I actually dont care that it isn't that spicey.

Ate dinner at Lucy's before the Jo Koy show at ComedyWorks downstairs. On Thursdays they have a burger & beer special for only $10 and we got preferred seating for the show. The burger's were very good and came with fries and my daughter ordered the mixed salad. Very tasty and it had a lot of lettuce, tomato, cheese and red onions. Had a pickle on the side. Mary, our server, was very friendly and attentive. Best place to go before the show!!

The decor is really cute and service is good. The sweet cornbread was excellent. My lobster bisque was delicious but I expected more lobster for a $12 bowl of soup. I think there were about three small lobster pieces. My husband got the seared tuna and it was great, highly recommend! Everyone we ate with really enjoyed their food. I would say it is a little pricey for what you get but that's pretty much what I expected for the location.

Awesome service and incredible venue. Extremely friendly owner. Awesome patio and really reasonably priced.

I have gone to Lucy twice before a show and twice it has been OK. Now OK is fine if you go to a low cost no frills place, but Lucy is pricey and likes to present itself as upscale. Problem? The quality of the food is mediocre, the speed at which the food is served is glacially slow and it just isn't worth the money. In fact the only thing that is terrific about Lucy's are 1) they actually have really top notch servers and 2) you get VIP seats (first 6 rows) to the show the night you dine. The first time we dined here it was before Saget. We got there 1.5 hours before the show and we ended up shoveling in the food after it came out giving us only 20 minutes to eat. Why? They put in a huge 20 person parties order in before ours so we just sat for over an hour waiting!!! Our server comp'd us a drink, but it was really ridiculous. Not to mention we tried to order calamari and they were out and they "didn't have" the steak sandwich on the menu anymore. So we didn't even get the food we wanted! Ugh!!! My hubby loves the VIP seats so we tried again before Leguizamo. We were seated in the back room, which was lovely, but next to a loud, drunk, rude party of 10 people. The rest of us in the room had absolutely terrible dinners because of their disregard for others. Glares, shushing and even the host coming in and asking for them to keep it down did nothing. This night we actually got the calamari and steak sandwich that we didn't before and it was really blah. The ingredients are low quality and the execution was so-so. For a $70 dinner, I expect WAY more. I just don't think they put enough into their food to make it worth the price. They are a disappointment. Oddly, I do like the servers (they friendly and helpful) and I do like the seat upgrade - which is the only reason it gets 3 stars. The rest is meh.

If you have 2 hrs during a workday lunch for a $10 burger that sucks, I recommend Lucy's. I feel bad for this place once Bad Daddy's opens in October.

I've been here many times and it's always provided a comfortable atmosphere, solid food, and good service. There's also a nice patio that's awesome in the summer. There are a ton of classic breakfast options but my favorite dish is the breakfast burrito.

  • Tarena Z.

The brushetta was OK..ish. The toast was a bit chewy but it was sourdough, so, my date says it was expected. The burger was great. The salmon was "melt in your mouth, perfect"!!!! The fries were hot and crispy! The setting was romantic except for the couple fighting and the college frat house and that was set next to us. Our poor waitress seemed so overwhelmed! She forgot our drink, completely! They did get us to the show on time! Downstairs is Comedy Works, they save you seats if you're going to the show.

Great setting for brunch! Patio was beautiful and the food was very good. We had a nice time bringing our friend from out of state to this restaurant.

I decided to give Lucy a couple tries before reviewing them. I found the service itself to be pretty top-notch, but both times I've been here there were issues. The first time they didn't put order in early enough and somehow another huge party got the whole kitchen backed up. Which I didn't really understand, since everyone here coming early is there for the 715 comedy show. So they have to always know how much food they have to server and how many people can be seated at any given time. The second time there was a party of 10 very loud, very drunk people seated a couple tables over from us and they were creating a huge racket. It was so bad that my wife and I couldn't really talk and I saw literally every other table in there glaring at them. The wait staff didn't do anything about it - as a matter of fact they were joking around with them and taking pictures with them. The food itself was just okay. Certainly not anything I'd rush back for. And both times we came in dinner with a couple drinks was about $70 plus tip, which seems excessive for a burger and a sandwich. The awesome thing about Lucy is that you get reserved seating for Comedy Works, which is really the only reason to come here. I'll probably come back if there's somebody I really want to see and sit close to, but generally I think I'll just go to much better places around the corner that cost about the same for better food.

I *tried* to have breakfast here this morning. I walked in to an empty room and sat at the bar. And waited. And waited. And waited. There seemed to be two people in an office next to the bar discussing business. At one point, some employee walked behind the bar, poured HIMSELF.a.cup of coffee, looked at me briefly, and walked away. Finally a server came out and asked if I had been served. Really? I had no coffee, no water...nothing.

I'm going 2 stars because the service was great and if you eat here you get VIP seating and no line for the attached comedy club. However the bonus comes with some downsides. We we to see Marlon Wayans and it was 3 shows back to back. Our waitress had been working 15 hours straight and looked like it. She was still very sweet though and surprisingly on it. The food was not good. Two of us ordered salads. The kale pumpkin my friend ordered she liked. I did not. It was top sweet and too cinnamon-y for me. I ordered Caesar salad but she came back to tell me no more Caesar so I got the mixed greens which was a boring salad plus tomatoes and carrots. Two of us ordered Mac and cheese. They offer bacon, truffle oil and/crab for extra $ . I asked for bacon and they were out. So I got the crab. When it arrived I realized they must have been out of macaroni too because it came with penne which my friend said it usually does not. Also, the crab must have been running low because there was just a few little pieces on top. Of course the crab was only $2 extra but for $11 macaroni and cheese it was definitely not worth it. So 3 strikes on food availability that night and to add to the sad pasta dish, the penne was very over cooked. I do have to say our 3rd friend liked his salmon and the spicy Ranch was good and spicy. The waitress didn't know what they spiced it up with and I couldn't figure it out. So overall it was not good food but the perk of not waiting in line made it not horrible.

Food is terrible & portions small! Ordered a salad tiny bowl and watered down dressing! Service is slow and very non caring. Very over priced!!! Never again will I attend a comedy show our here in Greenwood Village not for this type of service!

This review is based SOLELY on service (or lack thereof). We were regulars of Lucy's until they changed the green chile recipe. We have not returned since buy opted to go back and see if they reverted back to the good kind. They've changed it from the one that was awful but not back completely to the original. Service on this visit was the worst we've ever experienced; from the hostess who was oblivious for 3 min as she had her back to us and didn't seat is until she finished "her thing" to the 11 min it took for our service to pick up our card to close out our check. I'm a reasonable person and understand that they had people from the seminar coming in, but it was for purely DRINK service. As a server who works on tips, common sense would be to tend to the "tables" you have and not the line of people getting water and coffee that will NOT tip you. After 11 min, I went to the hostess desk only to find the same woman who neglected to seat us, too caught up on a phone call to be bothered. I finally got the attention of someone who took my card and check and set it aside because she "couldn't ring it up." Our waitress and the entire staff were too consumed with this group to be bothered by any of the tables. When I explained to our server my lack of understanding for the delay, she got snippy (at best). I NEVER tip below 20% but after found myself tipping a measly 11%. Never again will we return. The food is not THAT good to warrant the horrendous service.

This has become my favorite breakfast spot by the tech center. They are extremely courteous towards their customers and they are open early every day. It's great to always enjoyable to catch up with the staff, grab a bite, have an amazing view, and sometimes a bottomless mimosa!! Nothing in the area comes close.

Second time here and still unimpressed. Both times were for dinner and a show. Let's just say they have a hard time accomodating groups for what they call "VIP" seating. 1st time was with a group of 8 (Drew Carey) and we ended up in the balcony. Last night we were a group of 12 (Men are from Mars....) and we were near the back. VIP is qualified as the first 6 rows and our reservations were made a month out. :( Dinner prices are quite high (20 bucks for a plate of pasta?) Quality subpar at best. Service was decent ....to be expected with a large group on a busy night (lots of Groupon goers for a Tuesday). Not worthy to take advantage of premium seating. Go to Slattery's for better food and likely same seating arrangements.

We were so excited to try this place! We had tickets to see Roseanne at comedy works and had reservations here just before the show-they offered seating for the show in the first 6 rows if you made the reservation. The place is beautiful! The menu was enticing and different. Sadly, the food was mediocre at best, and the service was less than ok. The server took our food to the wrong table at first and didn't seem to care, as if this was a normal/common mistake. Ok...for the food: The chicken and waffles were literally the saddest rendition of the dish I've ever seen! One order had tiny shriveled chicken tenders and the other had decent size chicken tenders (2 tenders on 1 waffle) Frozen chicken tenders, more breading than chicken and the waffles were so disappointing with no flavor! Perk: bottomless bloody Mary! The first drink came with a lime and an olive. Every one after that had no garnish-not a huge deal but, odd nonetheless. After all it is part of the experience. Not to mention, it took so long to get the second round that the server comped one of the non bottomless drinks. That was nice of him. Soup and salad came without the salad and had to ask for it, which was a mistake as it was so basic and tasteless! Lots of frozen food and waiters seemed inconvenienced to be working this event (they normally don't serve dinner on Sundays I think). Today we realized they double charged us. Needless to say, I will not be eager to return-ever. Sad! Atleast Roseanne was awesome! Edited: today we were able to get in touch with a manager who said "it happens all the time" about the double charge. Thankfully we had contacted the bank to stop the second charge and it was successful. This place sucks and management is despicable.

We've had dinner here once (before a comedy show) and a late breakfast three times. Every time our food has been excellent and the service has been friendly and fast. The atmosphere is great. The prices are quite reasonable. They have a number of unique items that you won't find at your average breakfast joint, like chili cheese potato cakes and bacon chocolate pancakes. The dinner menu items rival the other fancy restaurants in the Landmark complex. I highly recommend heading to dinner here before a show so you can get prime seats for the comedian as well as an awesome meal. Breakfast is served until 2:00 every day, so it's a great place to keep in mind if that's what you're looking for and you don't want to wait for an hour to get into Snooze down the road. I held off on writing a review because I didn't want too many people to find out about this place, but it deserves 5 stars for sure!

after reading a few reviews before heading out to see Arden Myrin last weekend, I was a bit worried. we really wanted to get preferred seating. The service was great super friendly and made sure we had plenty of time to eat before the show. The food was great! lots of interesting items to choose from without being overwhelmed. The corn bread thing that came with my pork chop was outstanding. once in the club we got 2nd row seats. our server was super sweet and made sure we had full drinks all the time. best comedy club experience we've had.

I truly can't think of one thing from our experience last night that would make me want to come back. At all. We had reservations for dinner at 7:30 and we arrived and there were maybe 2 other tables in the restaurant. We ordered drinks quickly and then our server kind of disappeared. We weren't in a hurry as we weren't going to the show so it wasn't a huge deal but when this behavior continued throughout our entire meal it became highly annoying. We wound up at the restaurant for over two hours and not because we were lingering and talking. It was SO slow. It took forever to get our food and as I mentioned before there weren't many people in the restaurant. As we waited a few more tables trickled in but it wasn't even half full. Getting my water glass refilled was nearly impossible. It sat empty for 30 minutes. Irritating to say the least. Food. Well food was just flat our disappointing. Seven of us ordered food, six different plates. The salad was the winning dish of the table. The burger was ordered medium rare and came out well done. When my friend told the server about it she didn't seem to concerned about it. The pork tenderloin was way over cooked. My salmon was way over cooked and dry. My husbands steak was also way over cooked. I don't understand how this happens when you ask how the dish should be cooked and then don't seem concerned about it. I think my friend who had the burger wound up with a free beer for his way over cooked burger but even his beer was a joke, it was half head. We were all so hungry we just rolled with it but that should never be the case. Dessert was insanely slow. It took at least 20 minutes to get 2 slices of cheesecake and 1 salted caramel pie. We'd mentioned twice that it was our friends birthday, hoping for at least a candle in the pie, no such luck. The cheesecake was not good according to my friends. The salted caramel pie tasted like melted kraft caramel squares mixed with salt with a sprinkle of crumbs for a crust and more whipped cream than should ever be placed on a pie. We all walked out with a bad taste in our mouth. I can say with certainty that none of us will be returning.

We had breakfast there, and it was delish. My son thought the chocolate bacon pancakes were the best pancakes ever! My husband and I were also impressed with ours meals. I'm surprised to read some of the negative reviews. We will be back!

I had the best raspberry lemon drop martini here! It was the best combination of strong and flavorful. (I was told to mention that it was made by Tom the handsome one.) I also had the ribeye steak special. It was delicious and cooked perfectly.

I went for lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy, but it took over an hour to get our food. Our server did apologize multiple times and made sure our drinks were never empty. When the food did arrive, it was incorrect. Our server fixed it pretty quickly and then it was delicious. I would have rated 5 stars for service and quality, but it took over 2 hours for the two of us to eat, and lunch in DTC needs to be quicker.

Bottomless Mimosas are potent and a good value. Went for a late breakfast on a Saturday and had a great meal with a friend while celebrating my new car. The gringo huevos ranchero were very yummy and I would get them again.

How awesome to have food and comedy in the same building! I recently went there for a show and was inspired by the comedy and atmosphere of this trendy place to have desert and a night cap. Walking up to the second floor I was blown away by the views of the surrounding city. The staff at Lucy was great and was accommodating to everything I needed. Everything was served at a timely manner but I never felt rushed. The dessert menu was just as fun as the show I had just seen. I ordered the Popcorn Pana Cotta and it was a perfect and light treat to a fun filled night! It was a great time and I would recommend Lucy to anyone!

  • Megan A.

I really liked the décor and thought the food was very tasty. The night we went, the wait staff was polite and we never felt rushed. My main complaint is that we were still hungry when we left. The portions were very small. My husband and I aren't bigger eaters than the average person and generally aren't able to finish our plates at other restaurants. After eating at Lucy, we agreed that the food was excellent, but that we were both still hungry, and we had to grab some fast food on our way home! We'd never done that before.

  • Terry C.

We went there with another couple to have a nice evening out on the town. Unfortunately we were all underwhelmed with Lucy. The service was mediocre, the food was "ok". Every single one of us felt that it wasn't worth a return visit. It wasn't bad, but certainly didn't deliver value given it's price.

  • Richard N.

My friends and I ate here this past Saturday before seeing John Oliver. I was very disappointed, to say the least. While the portions are large, the food was terribly overpriced when compared to the quality of the ingredients, preperation and presentation. My partner and I ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer. While large, the meat was dry and had a slightly fishy aftertaste. My partner's salmon was slightly overcooked and dry, and the only discernible seasoning was butter. My chicken sandwich was dry, and overall was not presented well. All in all, I would have to compare the quality of the meal to something slightly below Applebee's. There is nothing wrong with 2-star Applebee's food, in and of itself; but there is something wrong with serving 2-star Applebee's food at or near a 4-star restaurant's prices. I would also have to agree that the service is extremely slow and very inattentive. While again in line with what I would expect from a 2-star restaurant, this is unacceptable for a restaurant attempting to present itself as a 4-star eatery. Reading through the rest of the reviews, I would strongly suggest that you give considerable weight to the 2 and 3 star ratings because they appear to represent the general trend of what you can expect from Lucy's. Without question, the 5 star reviews are either an anomaly or "plants."

If I could give negative stars I would! Came here for breakfast service was the worst I have ever had. Food took about 1 hour to come out. Server only checked with us once. Bathroom was still dirty from the night before. Such a nice venue but they have totally ruined it by the fact that no one here knows how to run a restaraunt. Go to snooze instead and wait it out. No wonder we were literally the only people in this place at 10am on a Saturday!!!

This restaurant sits above the comedy works in the landmark shops and is obviously best known for a pre-show dinner. But what about Breakfast and Lunch? It's quiet at lunchtime. Like really quiet. No music and we were practically the only ones left. We aren't in church so why so quiet??? It does have a nice modern interior, albeit a bit monochromatic, and the surroundings are comfortable. I had the "And the Oscar goes to...", which is a Benedict with a crab cake. Nicely poached eggs and an excellent crab cake atop a disappointing english muffin make up this dish. The english muffin definitely needed to be toasted more. If you are going to order breakfast, make sure you order the bacon cheddar potato cake with it. It's deep fried with little bacon or cheddar, but so tasty. My wife stole half of mine. The menu advertises in-house made jams and jellies. We tried another english muffin with strawberry jam, which was overall disappointing. Again, the english muffin was a flop. The strawberry jam tasted good, however. Coffee was very bitter. There is a special offer of a free cup for Yelp! readers, but it just isn't worth it.

We showed up at 610PM on a Friday night with no plans to attend the comedy show. We were fortunate to get seats at the bar and we had dinner at the bar, as Lucy was packed with every table taken. Tom the bartender adopted us. We gather that Lucy is the owner's dog, and we are dog lovers, so some positive bias on our part. We had hearts of romaine salad, oven roasted salmon, and a steak sandwich. Tom told us very few people come to eat here without going to the comedy show, but he hoped we were starting a trend. Sure enough the restaurant tables emptied as the magical 730PM start of the show hour approached. The food was fresh and good. Wine list is limited. Overall: good but not great. Cost of dinner with tip, wine, one cocktail was $110 -- expensive yet enjoyable. Kudos to Tom the bartender who made it better than it might have been.

S-L-O-W. We had a large party (about 20 people) for a work event and they were expecting us so one would think that they would have been prepared for us. The dining room was empty at 6PM except for another older couple who was dining. Our group trickled in so it should have been a bit manageable but the wheels fell off the bus when they started taking food orders. They were disorganized and one of my co-workers didn't receive his salmon until everyone else had finished their meals. Food wise things were okay. A bunch of appetizers were ordered for the table...I thought the calamari was actually tasty. The tortilla chips and dip not so much. I ordered the french onion soup for dinner and a side of the seasonal vegetable, which I was told was green beans but when the food finally arrived it was asparagus. Not at any point did they check back to see if I was okay with asparagus. I happen to like it but many people don't. We only ate/drank here because we were planning on going to the comedy show downstairs. For me this place is a major skip...both for the service and then the comedy show below.

This restaurant is in the same building as Comedy Works South, so I go there anytime that I'm going to see a show. Also, you get preferred seating if you eat there before a show, which means somewhere in the first few rows usually. So it's definitely a good deal to not have to stand in line waiting for your seat. I really like the food here, their macaroni and cheese is excellent, they have good burgers, good calamari, I LOVE their complimentary corn bread, and I had the salmon last time which was really good too. Oh, and I've tried a few desserts there, all of which were delicious. The service is usually very friendly and pretty quick, so no complaints there either. The prices can be a little on the high side, but not so much that it scares me off.

Lucy! We have found you. I love your outdoor patio for breakfast - especially on a cooler morning! Immediately warmly greeted and sat, our server was prompt in taking our coffee/drink order while we thought about what deliciousness we wanted to try for breakfast. I chose the Chile Cheese Cakes which are basically mashed potato cakes coated in bacon with eggs on top, that include green chile pork sauce. Good lord it was delicious! I wanted more of the potato cake! Savory and just tasty. The iced coffee was also yummy and not watered down - in other words, not hot coffee poured over ice. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was hot and tasty. We thought it was worth it for breakfast and will definitely be returning.

A-OK sums it up perfectly. My lady and I went to Lucy as we were seeing a show at the attached Comedy Works-eating at Lucy will guarantee you a spot in the first 6 rows of the showroom, and you don't need to wait in line to pick up tickets or get a seat-they'll walk you right in.. Our waitress was quick to take our drink order and get us some water, but then seemed to disappear for what felt like 10-15 minutes...and I mean we couldn't see her at all in the small dining room. Bummer, since my tummy was rumbling. I went with the old standby-cheeseburger and fries. The fries were awesome (though it's hard to get french fries wrong), but the burger was very "meh" and I only ate about half because it was pretty flavorless. Still, the dining area is quite nice, our server was really friendly, and the VIP treatment for the show is really nice. I'll probably eat at Lucy's again the next time I'm at Comedy Works, but only for a small appetizer so I can get the upgraded seating for the show.

Breakfast review- I have been here twice for breakfast. First I find it funny that there is absolutely no sign for this place. You go in the Comedy Works comedy club doors then go upstairs to the lounge/restaurant and amazingly there is an empty restaurant serving breakfast. If you were walking by on the sidewalk you would have no idea they were serving breakfast. Even if you for some odd reason walked into the Comedy club at 9 AM on a Sunday, you still wouldn't know they were serving breakfast- If you walked into the bar/restaurant you still might not know short of the waitstaff sitting at the bar in their "We serve breakfast and lunch" shirts. No wait for a table, good servers, full ambitious breakfast menu with both traditional items (eggs, omelets, pancakes, French toast, etc.) and a lot of creative items (different Benedict's, Mexican dishes, etc). They also have a kids menu and crayons. Bonus for families. The place would seem to be a hidden gem. Unfortunately, the food coming out if the kitchen is a little south of fair. The kitchen seems to take every shortcut it can- Ready Whip, frozen potatoes, cheapest coffee, etc. Even the toast was burnt. As other reviewers have stated, absolute Denny's grade food. (half inch thick omelet with cheap fillings). It's too bad because it's just not that hard to make a great fluffy omelet with fresh ingredients. You can shred a ten cent potato in five seconds. There is no reason, economically or otherwise, to buy everything frozen and pre made. The only thing that can save Lucy's is a new kitchen staff. The menu looks great but the execution is lacking any passion or noteworthiness. PS- and they have to get some real orange juice glasses. Those double old fashion cocktail glasses are hilarious. I feel like Denzel Washington in the movie Flight drinking OJ out of them.

I should have reviewed this place along time ago and I just never got around to it. We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner in the Curtis Ballroom August of 2013. The staff was friendly and were there to help if we needed anything. The food was amazing! They had a great menu with a ton of variety and everything was presented with class. Unfortunately it was a horrible rainy night when we held our event there but the chances we got to spend on the private patio were wonderful! I would recommend this place to anyone. We need to go back and try their brunch sometime!

Expecting something decent at a restaurant above a major act featuring comedy club? Well this isn't it. Think Denny's with linen napkins. We ordered an app, soup and entree. They brought the app and soup at the same time, then 2 minutes later brought the entrees. I sent them back since of course we weren't done eating our apps or soup. 5 minutes later they come back with the same entrees AGAIN! We told the waitress and she said they were being refired. My wife ordered the rib eye special with Demi glacé. Overlooked and mashed potatoes were like paste. Demi glacé was more like house gravy and the steak was drowned in it. I ordered the scallops with parmasean risotto. The risotto was a clump of pasty nasty mess. The scallops could have bounced off the walls if I threw them. The only decent part was the waitress. Jessie was awesome bout everything and deserved ever fine of the large tip I have her. Want a tip, don't go here! Unless you want to blow money on a Denny's with linen table cloths and napkins.

What's great: Dine here before a comedy show and you get VIP seating. Our server was fantastic. (Other staff was great, too.) Restaurant week menu made for a ton of food for a great price. The pork tenderloin was pretty tasty, as was the mashed sweet potatoes. The Asparagus Bisque was to die for, especially considering I don't normally like bisque, and I'm not generally that large on asparagus either. Great wine selection; the reserve list is all ridiculously expensive but was half off. The regular selection of bottles/glass was generally a good size, and the prices were entirely affordable. What's less than great: It's in a weird location. It thinks it's much fancier than it actually is. If you're paying full price for food, you're gonna pay more than you probably should for what you're getting. It was perfect for us, as we were going to the show afterwards, so the location and VIP seating was unbeatable. The food isn't bad at all, it's just not amazing. We definitely enjoyed it, but I don't think that it'll be very high on the list of places we're taking special note to return to.

Lucy's was just fine. Sparse in customers on a weekday morning. Breakfast was okay. Could have done w/o the many interruptions from the waitress while my friend and I were trying to catch up and have conversation. The owners dog ran around through the place, not sure why that was okay?? The food was fine not remarkable. Not much to brag about here. I probably wouldn't come back unless I had to. Such a shame ... the location is top notch in the Landmark area, the restaurant itself is beautiful & contemporary and the huge windows invited lingering, but I'd spend my time & money elsewhere with all the options out there now. Again, it's a shame that I can't lift this place up more than this.

Hmm we came all the way from Texas to come to a restaurant that's owned by someone from Texas. The owner's dog is on frames all over the place. Had a tang mimosa esque drink i havent had tAng in ages. the setup isi nteresting since theres a comedy house downstairs and the restaurant/ bar is upstairs IDK if they are related or they just happen to share space. When we went it was during a snowstornm so we had the place to ourselves

The first time I dined at this restaurant was when I purchased a Groupon for a comedy show. GREAT deal! And the comedy show was amazing! We were greeted in a timely manner and our server was new, but very attentive and professional. The second time I dined here was the burger and a beer for $10 on Thursday nights. One of the problems were encountered when going there was they close sort of early... we arrived around 8 for dinner one night and could not be seated. We wised up and showed up around 6 the second time and it was great. Burgers are amazing and for $10 including a beer... phenomenal deal! I have to say the prices are a bit high for what the menu is... but if you like burgers and beer you can not beat the Thursday deal! I just found out they are serving breakfast and lunch which I'm super excited about! I will definitely return!

Lucy's was great. Fast service, friendly atmosphere/staff, and good food. 4 stars because it's a little pricey for what you get but other than that it was great. Saw the comedy show afterwards and was seated promptly. The waitstaff for the comedy show was great, as well.

This place is a hidden gem. Went for lunch today and everything about it was amazing. Our server Julie was very nice and personable. The food is great! I had the crab melt and wedge salad and sweet potato fries. All was delicious. Not too crazy of portions either...just right! And on top of that, their frenchie Lucy was the cutest thing I've ever seen! She was so nice and just wandered around the tables. Great bonus. Definitely going here more often!

Service very slow. Calamari was terrible tasted like dish soap. Wife loved the scallops I enjoyed the tuna could have been cut better but still tasty. Wine selection is all Cali based and over priced. 8 dollars for a beringer REALLY! Service was terrible, slow and inaccurate do not go here its not worth it.

Been here twice, loved my food each time. First time I had a buffalo burger (medium) which was seasoned and prepared perfectly. It was delicious! Second time I had fish (forgot which one) and it was excellent (it melted in my mouth). The martinis were very fabulous, the service was outstanding (the waiter and the manager (or the owner) both greeted and thanked each and every customer), and the food was unique and creative, had great presentation and lots of flavor. The only complaint is the ambience... It sits on top of Comedy Works in some open hallway/loft type of setting... Not a big fan of open space dining rooms. Haven't been there for 3 months, hope the food is still good...

First of all, I don't really like giving low feedback, but in this case, it is to inform future foodies about this restaurant. I really wish I would have taken the other reviews on this restaurant more seriously before going, because they were spot on. We dined here before a comedy show. That was the only perk. Here is what our experience was like: 1) Poor service - Our server was Stormie. She was a very sweet girl and my husband and I wished she knew more about the menu and drinks. They have a very small menu, which was fine, but to ask the prices they do, I expect the server to know something about it. I asked which one of the Pinot Grigio wines were better and she says she doesn't drink white wine. WOW! So no one at that restaurant has had the white wine to compare? Next as my husband is ordering the glazed pork, he asks what type of glaze is on the pork. She says, I really don't know, I have never asked. Then crickets as he awkwardly looks at me with a puzzled look. I would have expected her response to be "I don't know, but let me find out for you" Their staff is just not educated on the product enough to charge what they do for dinner which is $18-$30 a plate. 2) I got the scallops with risotto which was incredible! No complaints on my dish. The portion was TINY though for $22. I am a very small eater and I had to get pretzels at the comedy show I was still so hungry! 3) My husband ended up getting the pork with the "mystery" glaze. It was funny when the waitress took our order she asked how he wanted his pork and he said "NOT dry, about medium to medium rare" It came out as tough dry medallions. He never sends food back, but he did this time. They fixed the problem which was nice. My suggestion is not to waste your $ on this restaurant. We unfortunately will not be returning. If the prices were lower, I believe my review would be different in this case. The service and experience does not match that of an upscale restaurant which is what I think they are making themselves to be.

Today was my first visit to Lucy and I loved it! I attended with a group of ladies from the Women's Chamber and was very pleased by the choices offered and I tell you what, the portions are HUGE! The tables ordered everything from Huevos Rancheros, to Cobb Salads, to combo plates and burritos from what I could see around me. The decor is very impressive, welcoming and in beautiful colors. The windows really welcomes the sun and opened it up. The service was great. Of 15 plates everything was correct, checks were separate and correct and all of the plates were handed to the correct people- all modifiers correct as well. This staff has it together. The manager was on the floor the entire time assisting the servers with us and another large party. I will be excited to return in the future for another event. It's outside of my normal travel area but I will certainly keep it in mind for a date night. Delicious! Oh yeah, Lucy is adorable. She came by for a surprise visit and we hardly even knew she was under the table; I think she got out : )

Be prepared to shell out some cash for dinner at Lucy, but it's well worth it. Got an email from Comedy Works promoting their new restaurant in Comedy Works South. We could get free tickets to the comedy show if we ate dinner in the restaurant. So, I posted it on MeetIn.org and got a group of 15 to join me. Dinner was fantastic. They brought us out some free appetizers that the chef had come up with for us. It was asparagus with parmesan foam and little egg yolk drops. Yeah, I know that sounds werid, but it was good. I had a pasta with white truffle oil & mushrooms that was awesome. I heard raves about the seabass & filet mignon down the table as well. In fact, no one had anything negative to say about any of the dishes. You're going to pay a minimum of $20 for an entree, but it really is well worth it. The service was fantastic. We really felt like the VIP table in the room, but it seemed like every other table felt the same way. If you're looking for a really nice night out, get dinner at Lucy before a show at Comedy Works. Be prepared to pay, but you won't be disappointed.

This is the Comedy Works version of Cool River. An upscale eatery which sits atop the Comedy venue and their trendy new lounge. The menu, although interesting, is limited to a few items. There are some delicious and interesting choices, like stone grits and lamb, but just not enough variety for my taste. The decor is modern, with cool elements like glass chandeliers reminiscent of ice dripping from the ceiling. On the downside, the decor is not warm and inviting. It is cold and uncomfortable. It just reminded of an icy version of the upstairs dining area at Cool River. The servers are knowledgeable and it is a nice opportunity to have a romantic meal before or after a show.

My husband and I had the pleasure to have breakfast at Lucy last weekend at Comedy Works at the Landmark. OMG!!! The food was spectacular!!! Congrats to Lucy for an out of the ball park home run!! The meal was superb! My husband had the Butter Pecan Pancakes and they graciously added blueberries to make them designer pancakes. I had the Original Jack Benny [Eggs Benedict]. the Hollandaise was to die for! We shared a pot of French Press Coffee!! The best! The service was excellent. The atmosphere was terrific. It was so much fun. All of the patrons were interacting with each other. We were meeting new friend and revisiting old friends. We felt like we were in our best friends kitchen. Wende Curtis has another hit on her hands. I am planning on trying the new lunch menu today!! Do yourselves a favor and join the fun!!! TBG

Do yourself a favor and do not even walk into this restaurant. I was enjoying a show with my bestfriend for his birthday, we heard about priority seating based a diner reservation at Lucy's. Absolutely not worth it!! We ordered drinks which were good. Calamari and blackened chicken penne came next. The calamari was under cooked and absolutely horrible. The chicken penne had no flavor and was cafeteria at best. $52 later we wished we had went to a restaurant outside the facility. Great concept but not worth the money. However our servers were great. Guess they would have to be to serve that food.

Well our first time here and definitely not ever going back. It was not busy and we stood at the host stand for more than 5 minutes while 4 employees walked past us without even acknowledging us. Then we were finally told we could sit wherever we want. We sat several more minutes before getting water and then we were told it would be awhile for coffee because they had to brew more. Really? On a Sunday morning? And they were NOT busy. Btw we never saw a server, what interaction we did have was with a manager. I saw servers just standing around talking to each other while my menu sat closed and we had no coffee. Then john fucking elway walks in and he immediately starts getting service. Needless to say we got up and walked out. I'm not going to wait all morning for shitty service while I watch a celebrity get treated like a king. This place was a joke. They need better management and better servers that can handle more than 1 table at a time.

My boyfriend and I ate at Lucy for our first time before a comedy show a couple weeks ago. Although it was just a tad pricey, it was well worth it. The service was excellent and I can't remember going to a restaurant where I was treated as well as I was that night. The staff was so friendly and accomodating that I was left in awe. The food was incredible as well. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with mango chutney and my boyfriend had the ravioli (pumpkin or butternut squash.) Both were very good. I will absoultely be back even if I am not going to see a show.

I went with a small group for a business lunch. I'm glad it was on someone else's expense account because it was quite pricey $$$. We were the only one's in the place for about an hour. That was a little awkward because the place is pretty big. I started with a Roasted Beet Salad--I'm a fan of these salads. It came with thinly sliced beets layered with olive oil, hazelnuts, and some microgreens. The best part was how the goat cheese was incorporated. There was a small puff pastry on the side of the plate. When I broke it open, the gooey goat cheese spilled out onto the dish. YUM! I ate every last drop of that dish. For my entrée I ordered the Tuna Flatbread Sandwich. It came on a small flatbread with rare tuna layered with fennel, orange sections, orange marmalade and arugula. I really wasn't that impressed. There was nothing "wrong" with it--it just wasn't as great as it sounded. My colleagues had the Roasted Chicken Sandwich, which he only ate the chicken out of. That made me question how good the bread was. And the other had the Bistro Tender (which is a new cut of beef much like a pork tenderloin in shape). It was beautifully presented and she ate all of it, so I guess it was good. They have some desserts that sound really good, but we skipped dessert that day. Overall, I doubt I'll be back to Lucy, especially on my own dime.

Honestly, the food was over priced, service was inadequate, and the seating layout reminded me more of a diner than a high end small plate restaurant. My drink was sweet, the burger was dry, and Lord forbid you want pepper because none is coming out of the holes of their modernly sleek but completely useless shakers. Save yourself some money and effort, and go to Slattery's.

Yeah, I NEVER complain about service. I usually give everyone an excuse for any service issues, but this was too annoying. Most people's complaint of service is generally along the lines of poor, rude, or inattentive service. This was just annoying. We were promptly seated in a relatively quiet area of the restaurant and greeted by a very nice waitress. Our issues were how quickly she wanted to take our order and how dessert was presented to us. My wife and I were not eating fast, but definitely not being slow. It's Restaurant Week and for a 3-course meal, I'm going to take my time. She put out the silverware for our dessert while we were still eating, asked my wife if she wanted a doggy bag while she was mid-bite, and brought out our desserts while we were still eating dinner. She asked if she should take them back, and I was so thrown off by the action that it took me a moment to say yes. Let me say that she was very nice about it and never pushy, but what a horrible way to serve a table. Now that I'm done with my complaint, I will say that the food was quite good and the menu did look impressive. I really enjoyed their wine selection by the glass, which was a lot larger than most places. I'm not sure that this place is ready to charge as much as it does for food. The service level does not really match the price. However, I do believe it has potential and is worth trying if you're in the neighborhood.

I went to Lucy with a large party (~40 ppl.), and we had a set menu with 3 choices. So I can't really comment on what the individual service was like. But there were a few things missing from the service of a large party like this. We had an open bar, but I don't expect to have to get my own glass of water for my place setting from the bar, which many of us had to do before someone finally requested that everyone be brought water. This issue might not have stuck in my head if it hadn't been about 85 degrees in the room. I don't know if it was all the windows or what. But it really was uncomfortably warm, and they couldn't seem to fix the problem even after bringing out a large box fan and opening the doors to the balcony. They also had the tables arranged too close to the bar which limited the mingling space and was pretty annoying when every time the bartenders had to get something out of the back room they had to walk in front of and around the bar to get to the room. Even with all those annoying things, I'm still giving them 4 stars. Why, you say? Because my filet mignon and mash potatoes were very, very good. I won't say great, because I reserve that for steak houses. And I won't say awesome, because I reserve that for Ruth's Chris. But it was very tender and good quality meat. And the mashed taters were a pile of buttery goodness. I also had the molten chocolate cake for dessert. I thought it was very good, but nothing all that unique. But my husband, a non-chocolate lover thought it was the best cake he's ever had. I guess coming from someone who doesn't particularly like chocolate says a lot. This would be a great place to go with a date or a group before seeing the show at Comedy Works. They've got one really good thing going for them -- location. That and some pretty decent food should keep them afloat.

Blech and blah. Went to Lucy for lunch with my staff. We started by ordering a basket of donuts and "braids" (a braided donut) for the table, which supposedly are one of their "specialties." They were (a) overcooked (donuts should not have a crunchy exterior!) and (b) tasteless. We were one of only 3 tables, and the service was unbelievably slow. Slow. Slow. Did I mention slow? I could describe our meals in detail, but I think it sums it up to say that out of 7 of us, not one of us described our food as "good." Every single person said, "um, it's ok." As much as I hate to sound like a snob--and I know I will, but this is the truth--anyone who thinks this is good food has never been to a truly good restaurant. Denver has lots of 'em, so don't waste your time here.

The food here is very good and it's great to have a meal here before going downstairs for a show. They also have a terrific breakfast menu and everyone should try their great menu in the morning.

I've been here many times and it's always provided a comfortable atmosphere, solid food, and good service. There's also a nice patio that's awesome in the summer. There are a ton of classic breakfast options but my favorite dish is the breakfast burrito.

Really? I had no coffee, no water...nothing.

after reading a few reviews before heading out to see Arden Myrin last weekend, I was a bit worried. we really wanted to get preferred seating.

Bottomless Mimosas are potent and a good value. Went for a late breakfast on a Saturday and had a great meal with a friend while celebrating my new car. The gringo huevos ranchero were very yummy and I would get them again.

We enjoyed our meal at Lucy. Both my husband and I ordered the pork chops, they were delicious. Nice atmosphere with good service. We will be back.

We had breakfast several months ago using a Living Social deal. The restaurant was difficult to find. It was upstairs above a comedy club. The food was excellent, but not a real good value. Service was friendly. We would come back for the food if there were another coupon deal.

I love it! Good 4 star food, pleasant wait staff and hosts-and eating here gets you great seats at the comedy show?? Love!

Looking fior a nice place to have an upscale breakfast on the week-end or a nice lunch during the week, Luck's is the place. They also do a nice dinner and if you are planning on attending the comedy show, you get good seats. It's worth the effort to visit.

Great place to eat before a show! The chicken sandwich was awesome, but my husbands steak was a little on the cold side. Overall good experience, and great drinks!
